It’s been so long since I glanced down at my Apple Watch and thought: “Wow I have time… to shoot... for myself.” In actuality I only had an hour and change on the clock before celebrating a birthday at sunset but you know what they say about small victories.

Now being a few years into this photo thing, I’m starting to realize that it’s essential to remain close to your roots as it can nurture your creative expression and even give your mental health a boost. So I let the Jeep guide me around 312 to get some skyline shots while a mellow Lo-Fi playlist provided a soothing soundtrack.

There is just no escaping what is shaping up to be your typical Chicago winter - Bear weather as we like to call it. I finally got back out there all gloved up and bundled tightly to get some photo reps in despite the bitter, brutal O. M. Winter.

For the second consecutive year, Lollapalooza stretched for 4 days. From Thursday, August 3rd through Sunday, August 6th (my mom's birthday!), music fans from all over flooded Grant Park to enjoy a wide array of sounds.
