Pitchfork Music Fest 2016

A melting pot of music, if you will, the annual 3-day Pitchfork Music Fest took Place in Union Park in Chicago over the weekend and as a first-time photog, I could not have asked for a better experience shooting new, eccentric, and amazing performers from all corners of the globe. From Miguel, Savages, and Chicago's own Jeremih, to FKA Twigs, Twin Peaks, and Empress Of, what a show. At times, I failed to remove myself as a fan and got caught up in the music but can you really blame me? Enjoy the shots!

June 26^th, 2016 marked the day that I shot my very first show. Never have I photographed a band – in a bar, club, or even street festival, let alone a stadium. To capture the essence of the B96 Pepsi Summerbash was a tough task, one that I eagerly greeted with excitement, shaky nerves, and my beloved camera. What an honor to see, speak to, and photograph the likes of Daya, Charlie Puth, Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha, Mike Posner, Calvin Harris, and Ariana Grande. I left my apartment to head towards the Allstate Arena and once there, I felt truly at home.
